Although Yugoslavian Vlaho "Bata" Orlic (1934-2010) graduated as a medical doctor, he never practiced that profession. He spent his entire life coaching water polo teams. He was, for example, the great mentor of Partizan Belgrade, who won no less than six European titles with the national champions. In 1972 and 1976 he coached the Yugoslav seven in the Olympics. He is considered one of the most brilliant waterpolocoaches in the world and it was he who led Yugoslavia to the world top.
